Structural Alignment, Purpose, Vision, Mission & Values

What do all these business buzz words really mean and how can they help you advance in your desire to conquer the obstacles in your life?

Do you know how to punch really, and I mean REALLY hard? Most people focus on the speed of the delivery, but the secret is the mass behind the punch and how you align with your body structure and your connection to the ground. When the earth, your stance, hips, shoulder, elbow and big two knuckles are all in alignment the mass behind the blow is significantly stronger and results in a crushing blow to your enemy. An enemy is anything that tries to drag you down and destroy you and the greatest enemy of all is the enemy within. Fight yourself with structural alignment and knockout your weaksauce self!

We all struggle from time to time with feeling good about how we are spending our time and where we are at in our careers or lives at the moment. Take a few minutes and realign with your life's true purpose!

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” -Mark Twain

The foundation of all your goals and desires is your purpose. Here is how to find it:

What's my Purpose?

Write down everything you want to get in life followed by everything you want to give in life. Make the list as exhaustive as possible. Next, write down the five people you respect more than anyone and list the character traits they possess that make them so admirable. You now have a bunch of words on several sheets of paper so start scratching out the ones you can live without and keep going until it is simply too painful to scratch off anymore. Now look at what remains and find the theme that connects them all together: That is your big clue to your life's purpose.

Purpose = Being

Vision = Seeing

Mission = Doing

Values = Choosing

Once you have your foundation of being ( your purpose ) figured out, next it is time to look ahead and align our future with the structure of our present. Visualize where you want to go in life and pick your target to aim at. Everyone has a different target and aiming at someone else's target is a waste of your precious time so have a vision and see your personal target with clarity.

Knowing who you are and where you are going is life changing. Now you just need to pound the pavement and accomplish your mission as outlined with your vision. Your mission will change periodically as you grow and new opportunities arise, but you will not drift off course if you remain in alignment with your purpose and make decisions based on your values. Values determine your day to day decisions and keep you from violating who you really are at the core. You received clues about your core values when you wrote down the character traits of the people you admire most. From the exercise of writing out what you want out of life and what you want to give back you can mine for the gold of what matters most to you (values) and who you really are at the core (purpose) and where you would like to head (vision) and how you can get started today (mission).

Now Fight Yourself with Structural Alignment and allow your PURPOSE to align with your VISION, MISSION and VALUES!

Grab a pen and paper and start writing now, your future happy & successful self will be sure to thank you!
